Chadlington First Team made it back to back wins in Division One with a 4-0 victory over Spartan Rangers. The win puts Chad 2 points clear at the top in the league.
Hans Korge opened the scoring in the first half with a clever change of direction before bending a unstoppable strike past the Spartan keeper.
In the second half Toby Jones on his first team debut broke away down the right and crossd a perfect ball leaving Alfie Peachey with a simple finish to make it 2-0.
Five minutes later Peachey beat two defenders with a smart turn and was brought down for a clear penalty which was converted by captain Ethan Bennett.
The last goal came when Ethan Savage played a great ball through the centre for Peachey to run on and finish calmly past the keeper. Full Time 4-0.
Chadlington Reserves got hammered 9-1 by Faringdon Town Development in Division Two on Saturday. Faringdons first team game in Wiltshire Senior League Div 1 was postponed allowing them to significantly strengthen their team, which otherwise would’ve been playing with just 10 men. Their added quality made the difference in front of goal especially.
Faringdon took their chances on almost every attack while Chad spurned their early chances which should have seen them go in front in the game early on.
Chad’s solitary goal came late in the game via Aaron Bennett from open play.
Despite the scoreline Chad played some good football to take forward.
Chadlington Under 16s played their first game in the Oxfordshire Youth Football League Division C North on Sunday and beat Witney Vikings 3-1. Sam Bayliss, Nathan Osei-Bemong and Archie Whitmill with the goals.
Chadlington Under 15s got their season off with a win at home in WDYFL with a 2-1 victory over Brackley Athletic. Benjamin Fearn and Zach Spring with the Chad goals.
