Chadlington First Team made it three games unbeaten in Division One on Saturday as they beat bottom of the table side Combe FC 3-2 away.
Despite being bottom and adrift in the table Combe raised their game and made it a battle throughout.
Goals from James Andrews, Hans Korge and Alfie Peachey though ensured that a valuable 3 points were gained which lifts Chadlington to 6th in Division One.
Chadlington Reserves made it 5 wins on the trot in Division Three as they squeezed by Stonesfield Reserves 3-2. Stonesfield, sitting in 6th place in the league ensured that Chad had their toughest game for months.
Despite twice taking the lead in the first half via goals from George Slatter and captain James Hobden, Mike Phipps of Stonesfield levelled shortly after on each occasion. At half time it was 2-2.
The Reserves knew they had the quality to win the game and a strong second half performance brought the win that they deserved. A second half penalty from Aaron Bennett made it 3-2.
Chadlington remain 3 points clear at the top of Division Three with teams behind still having games in hand. This win though knocks Stonefield out of the chasing pack but no doubt they will have a say on the league positions as they still have games against the top teams.
