Chadlington First Team suffered a shock defeat in their first game of the month as they went down 6-3 to lowly Hailey Reserves. The defeat ended any realistic chance of securing the Division One and made their final game against Bampton Utd a must win game if they wanted promotion to be in their own hands.
An opening goal from the head of Josh Betts followed shortly after by a wonderful free-kick from Prince Nyongolo put Chad 2-0 up. In the second half, Bampton pulled a goal back but the win was secured along with promotion to the premier division.
Chadlington Reserves faced three games in the race to survive relegation from Division Two. First up they travelled to Kingham but lost 2-1 to leave them firmly in the relegation zone. Next up they travelled to Leafield knowing that only a win was acceptable. Despite dominating the early exchanges a goal was not forthcoming until a second half strike from 16 year old Jamie Stonehouse sealed the win.
In the final game of the season, they travelled to Siege and required just a point to survive. One of the best performances followed and Chad ran out deservedly 3-1 winners.
